Animetrics Launches FaceR Celebrity in Apple App Store

Conway, NH (January 28, 2010) – Animetrics, Inc, developer of next generation  3D imaging technologies for facial biometric systems, today announced that they have launched FaceR™   Celebrity in the Apple App Store, the first of its planned FaceR™ applications for the consumer marketplace connecting mobile devices to Cloud based photographic stores. FaceR™  Celebrity Edition provides a simple and entertaining new way to use your iPhone among friends matching the iPhone user to their most similar celebrity. The elegant simplicity of the iPhone makes this application both easy to use and fun sharing the power of the iPhone amongst friends and family and is certain to  be popular among social networkers.

Animetrics is joining the App Store

We just  submitted our first app to the Apple App Store for approval. This is the first major milestone for our burgeoning Consumer Division.  The app we have submitted is the first of our FaceR series of applications, FaceR Celebrity.  Once our application is approved users will be able to download the free application and provide a simple and entertaining way to find which celebrities they most closely resemble. While other applications make similar promises only FaceR Celebrity yields proven Animetrics results with out patented technology.

We are bringing the power  of our next generation facial recognition platform to our Consumer applications, and FaceR Celebrity is just the start.

Happy New Year and welcome the 2010 the year of the Biometric!! At least that is what we think 2010 will bring. With that being the case, and 2010 is the year of the biometric then 2010 will be the year of Animetrics as well. We here at Animetrics have spent the last 12 months preparing for 2010 to expand Animetrics business and products into many new areas.

SAIC chosen as one of the prime contractors for the BOSS BAA

The DoD Biometric Fusion Center has been quite active.   We were very please to see SAIC chosen as one of the prime contractors for this BAA and Animetrics is part of the SAIC team.   Upcoming BFC events are significant for the industry movement including the 2009 Annual Biometrics and Forensics Summit, to be held May 12-14 in San Diego, CA. Hosted by the TRADOC Capability Manager for Biometrics and Forensics, and co-hosted by the Biometrics Task Force, the Annual Biometrics Summit is for all DoD entities utilizing Biometrics and Forensics technology.

The theme is Biometrics and Forensics in a Time of Uncertainty. The conference objective is to discuss and capture biometrics and forensics concepts, doctrines, Operational, and Research and Development requirements from various Army and DoD Centers of Excellence to inform TRADOC’s collaborative Combat Developments and DoD’s Joint Capabilities Based Assessment processes.  Come visit this event and please come to the Animetrics exhibit.  2D to 3D technology is now in the Army BAT.

Biometric Operations and Support Services BAA

We’re very excited that the government is finalizing on the prime players for the BOSS BAA and we’re excited to be a part of it.   It seems that quite a few major Systems Integrators will be awarded which will make for an interesting dynamic on how the task orders coming down will be distributed or awarded individually.   Give me a call if you have questions or know more!
