Animetrics® Inc. Chosen for Face Biometric on SAIC's U.S Army Biometric Task Force Contract

Conway, NH - February 13, 2009

Animetrics® Inc. announced today it has been chosen as a subcontractor by Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE:SAI) to provide 2D-3D face recognition products and services in support of SAIC's prime contract with the Army's Biometrics Task Force (BTF) to provide biometrics support services in support of the Biometrics Operations and Support Services Unrestricted (BOSS-U) program. SAIC's multiple award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity prime contract has a three year base period of performance, two one-year options and a total contract ceiling of $497 million for all awardees.

The BTF leads Department of Defense activities to program, integrate, and synchronize biometric technologies and capabilities and to operate and maintain DOD's authoritative biometric database to support the National Security Strategy. The BOSS-U program enables BTF businesses and program units to accomplish mission objectives by tasking SAIC and other contractors to provide services as required in areas including management support, infrastructure procurement design; development and integration; operations and maintenance; advanced technology demonstration; studies and analysis; and test and evaluation.

Animetrics 2D-3D face biometric technologies will provide the advanced identification solutions sought after by the BTF. "It is a great opportunity and we're pleased to support SAIC's BOSS-U team for this important BTF contract," said Paul Schuepp, Animetrics President and CEO.
